James Hacker Jr.

James O. Hacker Jr. 79, of Chattanooga, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at his home. Mr. Hacker was born in Athens, Tenn., and has lived in Chattanooga for the past 43 years. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corp with 20 years of service and also was retired from the Postal Service with 20 years of service. Mr. Hacker was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, James O. and Goldie Harris Hacker Sr. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Eva Jean Coleman Hacker; two sons, James O. (Randisa) Hacker III, El Paso, Texas; Richard S. (Stacy) Hacker, Chattanooga; brother, Jerry C. Hacker Sr., Alvord, Texas; seven grandchildren, Sean, Steven, Michael, Summer, Jamie, Nicole and Jaden; great-granddaughter, Jordyn. Private services will be held at a later date.
