Janet Dodson

Janet Dodson, 84, of Soddy-Daisy, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her five children, on Monday, June 9, 2014. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Janet worked many jobs during the course of her life, primarily as a Teacher's Aid and a Surgery Technician, to help provide for her family. She was the daughter of the late Peyton and Mary Lila Helms, and she was married to the late Bruce J. Dodson for 50 years who passed away in the year 2000. She is survived by her sisters, Carol Blevins and Robbie Davis; her children, Brenda Hooper, Randy Dodson and his wife, Sandy, Terry Dodson, Robin Dodson and Daniel Dodson; all of whose lives were made richer by her love and are diminished by her passing. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, graveside in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Hot Water Road, with Rev.
