Ellen McBee

Ellen Powell McBee, 46, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at her home. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Veal Powell. Survivors include her loving husband of 29 years, Michael McBee; daughter, Ashley McBee, of Chattanooga, son, Brandon McBee; father, Larry Powell; siblings, Lee Powell, all of Lookout Mountain, David Powell, of Chattanooga, Joy Wooten, of Sand Mountain, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Mt. Pleasant Community Center on Lookout Mountain with Rev. Don Self officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
