Mattie Webb

Mattie JoAnn Webb, 75, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. She and her late husband operated the "Burger Pantry" in the Village Bowling Lanes in the 1960s and 1970s. Mattie retired from Maytag after 30 years of service. She was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, H.D. and Gladys McKnight Holmes; husband, Billy Ray Webb; sisters, Kay Montgomery, Ruth Reyes and Jessie Samples; and brothers, Charles Holmes, John Doug Holmes, Jerry Holmes and Robert Holmes. Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Webb Matthews and husband, Don, of Chattanooga; sisters, Sharon Liner and Michelle Rossi, both of Cleveland; and brother, Larry "Bud" Holmes, of Cleveland. The memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today, March 4, 2014, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Arris Cavender officiating.
