Mary Arp

Mary Sue Arp, 76, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at her residence. Mrs. Arp was born in Chattanooga to the late William F. Harvey Sr., and Carrie Lecroy Harvey. She attended the Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed oil painting, folk art painting and wood crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard Arp; sister, Louise "Midge" Hise; and brothers, William F. Harvey Jr., Paul, John and Leon Harvey. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Yana and Dennis Vanhorn; brother, George H. Harvey; sisters-in-law, Norma Harvey Ganaway and Hattie Harvey; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Tom Whitsett officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
