Jewell Grant

RINGGOLD — Jewell Marie Headrick Grant, 86, moved on to her Heavenly home Wednesday, April 19, 2017. She lived in East Brainerd, Tenn., for 40 years before moving back to Ringgold, Ga. in 1996. She was a former employee of Miller Brothers and Towel and Linens. She was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church where she attended the Agape Sunday School Class. Jewell was the oldest of nine children. She loved family gatherings and was a devoted wife, mother and nanny. She was adored by her children, granddaughters and great-grandchildren. She loved to garden and cook special meals for her family. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lola Fletcher Headrick; and brother, Johnny Headrick. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Ross “R.C.” Grants, of Ringgold, Ga.; two children, Victor Grant and Melissa (Butch) Oliver, both of Ringgold, Ga.; two sisters, Rena Peters and Judy Adkins, both of Ringgold, Ga.; Harold Headrick, of Cairo, W.Va., Richard (Carolyn) Headrick and Thurman (Billie) Headrick, both of Ringgold, Ga., Lamar Headrick, of Cleveland, Tenn., and Donny (Helen) Headrick, of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; two granddaughters, Ashley (Sean) Campos and Hannah (D) Winchester; two great-grandchildren, Max Campos and Lola Grace Winchester; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, April 22, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bruce Daugherty and Butch Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold, Ga.
