Ateka Jones

Judy Ateka Jones, 68, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Clarice Jones; two sisters, Francis Cusic and Mary Jo Mosier; and two brothers, Luther Jones and Wendell Jones. She was an active and beloved member of Ringgold Gospel Tabernacle for 56 years and is remembered for loving her Lord and Savior and for having a servant's heart. She was the owner of Hamill Road Bookkeeping & Tax Service for more than 10 years and enjoyed serving and helping her clients who were more like family to her than clients. Survivors include her sisters, Theresa Stevens, of Sylvania, Ala., Glenda Clayton and Sonja Anderson, of Chattanooga; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends today, Oct. 7, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Dr. Terry Melvin and Kindred Hospice, the ladies of Ringgold Gospel Tabernacle, Karen Ciemnlecki for her care of Ateka’s business during her illness, as well as Hamilton Funeral Home for their compassion.
