George Loyack

RINGGOLD — George Francis Loyack, 77, passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017. A native of Pittston, Pa., he has lived in the North Georgia, Chattanooga area for the past 52 years. George was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, was a member of the American Legion Post #95 and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael George and Margaret Ann Connell Loyack; sister, Rose Mary McKinney; and brother, Michael Loyack. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara Ann Hayslip Loyack, of Ringgold, Ga.; four children, George (Anita) Loyack, of Ringgold, Ga., LaDonna (Larry) Connell, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Margaret (Bart) Lunsford, of Lakeland, Fla., and Joseph (Tammy) Loyack, of Boaz, Ala.; sister, Judy Wagner, of Gambrills, Md.; five grandchildren, Matthew Loyack, Kristen Loyack, Kyna Lunsford, Sebastian Lunsford, and Logan Loyack; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dennis Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold, Ga.
