Dorothy McCauley
LAFAYETTE — Dorothy McGee Parham McCauley, 92, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. McCauley; one daughter and one
son.
She is survived by two daughters; eight grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was an active and loved member of the LaFayette Church of Christ and served as a
volunteer on a medical mission trip to Guatemala. Serving her community and teaching
young girls, she was a Girl Scout leader for ten years and was an active and fervent
member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Dorothy was kind, loving, and generous to everyone she met and was adored and greatly respected. Even in death she was
an outstanding example of Christian charity by donating her remains to Emory University School of Medicine.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at 6 p.m. at the LaFayette Church of Christ.
