Roy McAnally
RINGGOLD — Roy Edward McAnally, 85, passed away, April 14, 2018, at his home.
Roy was born in Lone Mountain, Tenn., April 10, 1933. He
retired from the US Army after 26 years, achieving the rank of Chief Warrant
Officer 4. Roy served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star
(with Oak Leaf Cluster) and the Air Medal while assigned to the 1st Air
Cavalry. Preceding in death are Roy's parents, Charlie and Nellie McAnally;
sisters, Betty Jarnigan and Pauline Brogan.
Survived by his wife, Janet, of 62 years; children, Barbara Stock, Joanne
Rosenberg, John McAnally; grandchildren, William, Benjamin, Kate, Colin, and
great-granddaughter Hailey; sisters, Fen Long, Helen Davidson, Doll Green,
Shirley Collingsworth, Barbara Jones, and Janice Cox; brothers, Joe McAnally,
James McAnally and Larry McAnally; several Nieces and Nephews also
survive.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at the funeral home
chapel. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full
military honors.

The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Heritage
Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
