Bettye Passons

Bettye Quattlebaum Passons, 88, of Winchester, Tenn., (formerly of Chattanooga), passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at a Nashville hospital. She was retired from Suntrust (formerly American National) Bank in Chattanooga, where she worked for 30 years. Bettye was a bank teller, Master Charge Hostess, new bank building tour guide, and worked in the Purchasing department. She was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church and also attended the Walnut Grove Methodist Church in Belvidere, Tenn. Bettye was preceded in death by her parents, William David Abercrombie and Hettie Elizabeth Abercrombie of Garden City, Ala.; first husband, Robert C. Quattlebaum, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; second husband, Roy Passons, of Chattanooga; six brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her son, Jeff (Sandy) Quattlebaum, of Winchester, Tenn.; granddaughters, Lisa (Patrick) Lynch, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Sarah (Huston) Heatherly, of Wataga, Tenn.; great-grandson, Cormac Heatherly; brother, Wayne (BettyAnn) Abercrombie of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three stepchildren and six grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held at noon (CST) on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, in the Hopewell Cemetery, 492 County Road 582, Hanceville, Alabama 35077.
