GRANDVIEW — Charles Thomas Evans, 67, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at his home in Grandview, Tenn. He was born Aug. 25, 1951, in Rockwood, Tenn., son of Beecher Evans and Lena (Smith) Evans. He worked at many years as a TVA Instrument Mechanic and was a member of the Crossville Church of Christ. He was the Benevolent Deacon for the church as well. He was a member of the Tennessee National Guard from 1971-1977. He is survived by his wife, Janie Evans, Grandview; son, Cody (Jade) Evans, Pikeville, Tenn.; daughter, Katie (Robert) Hayes, Crossville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Colt and Case Hayes, and Jalynn and Silas Evans; brothers, Burkett Evans, Spring City, Tenn., Beecher B. Evans, Spring City, Tenn.; and sister, Lena Belle Beale, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beecher Evans and Lena (Smith) Evans. Funeral services were held at Church of Christ on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at 7 p.m. with Bro. Larry McDuffee officiating. Interment in Evans Family Cemetery Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m. CST. The family has requested memorials be made to Potter’s Children Home C/o Crossville Church of Christ and also to AG in the Classroom Cumberland County at Farm Bureau.
