Elaine Thompkins-Morgan

Elaine Thompkins-Morgan, 79, passed away on Friday, Nov. 23, at her home in San Diego, Calif. Elaine was born June, 13, 1939, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to James Thompkins and Ruth Rowe-Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Louise Farris; and aunt, Hazel Addison. Elaine leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Robert Morgan; son, Calvin Bland; sisters, Ernestine Robinson, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Alberta Williams and Christina Williams, both of Akron, OH; brother Fredrick Franklin, of Akron, OH; devoted cousin; Gwendolyn Rivers, of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Salli Lynn Chapel of the Greenwood Mortuary in San Diego. A celebration of life service will be held at the Chapel Thursday, Dec. 6, at 10:30 a.m. with a committal service to follow at Miramar National Cemetery.
