Rodney McPherson

Rodney “Mac” McPherson Jr., 65, of Chattanooga, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was a resident of the North Georgia/Chattanooga area for the past 26 years and a longtime member of First Church Fort Oglethorpe. Mac was a business owner who enjoyed his work of repairing and restoring automobiles. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. Otherwise, you might find him watching his favorite Westerns, fishing, or listening to music. He was an avid lover of animals. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney McPherson Sr.; sisters, Judy McPherson and Sue McPherson. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Margaret McPherson; mother, Virginia McPherson; sister, Linda Pastrana; sons, Eric (Jillian) McPherson and Bryan McPherson; daughters, Daphne “Tish” (William) Mollett and Laura Burke; grandchildren, Kaleigh (Cody) Rind, Hunter Burke, Will Mollett, Bryan Michael McPherson, Ally Burke, Kaidon McPherson and Wyatt McPherson; nephew, Dennis McPherson; other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Luke Camlic officiating.
