Joe Tatara

Joseph Eugene Tatara, 62, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith. Joe served his country in the U.S. Army where he retired after 20 years of service. He also retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 15 years of service. Joe loved woodworking. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Tatara. Survivors are his daughter, Ann Austin (Rodney); grandchildren, Grayson and Gavin Austin; parents, William and Shirley Neely; sisters, Gillian Batchelder (Robert) and Dorothy Norris; brother, Ricky Neely and his girlfriend, Sherrie Pell. At Joe’s request there will not be any services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Fisher House Foundation at www.fisherhouse.org.
