Wayne Roberson

Wayne Thomas Roberson (WT), 70, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Wayne attended Ooltewah High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and later retired from Savannah Valley Utility District. Wayne was a caring, loving and fun spirited man who never met a stranger. You could always find Wayne at the Elders Store, Country Side Cafe, Boyd's Speedway, Brained Drag-Strip or front porch sitting. He was a great man and he will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Louise Roberson and nephew, Jeffery Roberson. Survivors include his son, Christopher Roberson; daughter, Jenny Roberson; stepdaughter, Cindy Cain; stepson, Steven Munsey; five step-grandchildren, and brother, Michael Roberson, of South Carolina. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 12, 2018, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Stewart of Birchwood Church of God officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
