FLINTSTONE — Dan C. “Buddy” Thomas, 83, of Flintstone passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at a local health care facility. He was a lifelong resident of Red Bank, Tenn. and Flintstone, Ga. He retired in 1990 from U.S. Pipe with 33 years of service and has been employed over 25 years at Yates Bleachery. His passions in life were woodworking, working on cars, going to work, and being a “jack of all trades”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mary Effie Thomas; and three sisters. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Sue Thomas; son, Paul H. (Tamara) Thomas; two sisters; one granddaughter; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
