Don Correll

Donald R. “Don” Correll Sr., 90, died Monday, May 14, 2018, at The Health Center at Standifer Place in Chattanooga. Born in Spring City, Don was the son of the late Orville Ray and Addie Gallimore Correll Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Don was a ceramic engineer and retired from the John Park Co. He was a member of the Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, Tennessee. Don loved to work on Jaguars. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alya Dean Correll and son, Donald Correll Jr.. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Ford Correll, of Ooltewah; daughter, Karla (Rick) Thrasher, of Ooltewah, son Steve Correll, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services with military honors are Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Grady Cooper officiating. Interment will be in the Spring City Cemetery.
