Frances Bales

Frances E. Bales went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2018, at Memorial North Park Hospital. She was 81 years young. She was of the Pentecostal faith and dedicated to her church where she was proud to be a Sunday school teacher to the little ones, which she referred to as “her kids”. Mrs. Bales is survived by her husband, Chester N. Bales, to whom she was married to for half a century; and her children, Tina, Hope, Billy and Dale; with many grandchildren/great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bales is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Roger “Tag” Holder; and many more nieces/nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maybelle and JW Hodge; three sisters, Lola Daniel, Dean Friddell, Liz Robinson; and five brothers, William, Leon Jr., Hubert and Jimmy Hodge. Mrs. Bales will be interred at Old McDonald Cemetery Friday after the funeral. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 18, at The Oasis Revival Center in Birchwood, TN.
