Margaret Thurman

Margaret Ann Chaffin Thurman departed this earth for her heavenly home on Nov. 12, 2018, at 11:15 p.m. at the age of 84. She was surrounded by her loving family as Beulah Land played softly in the background. Ann was born Jan. 25, 1934, in Missouri. She was the second child of Verbie and Willene Head. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Charlotte Musick and Juanita Brown. Ann was also preceded in death by her first husband of 34 years, Donald Chaffin. Also awaiting her in Heaven is her oldest son, Jeff Chaffin and daughter-in-law, Susan Chaffin. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Elvis Newell Thurman. She is also survived by her daughter, Lisa (Gary) Eaves; son, Mark (Susan) Chaffin, and son, Steve (Kim) Thurman. Ann also leaves behind her brother, Mack (Benita) Head and sister, Beth (Ralph) Dennis. Ann's greatest joy came from the presence of her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; grandchildren, Tara (Bryan) Martin, Bethany Chaffin, Tonya (Jonathan) Brock, Amanda (Duane) Carleo, Jonathan Eaves, Tiffany (Tyler) Gunter, and Kaleb Thurman; great-grandchildren, Braden Martin, Logan Martin, Andrew Brock, Addison Martin, Jacob Brock, Regan Carleo and Faith Brock. Ann will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones and friends. She will be remembered for her generous and giving heart, her smile, her direct approach, her laughter, her gift of cooking and sewing and most importantly her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, in the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home with T.D. Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, and from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at the funeral home prior to the service. The family would like to thank all the friends and family who have said prayers or given comfort during this time. They would also like to thank the ICU Neuro staff at Erlanger hospital for their grace and tender care of Ann during her last days.
