Faye McClure

Faye Nell (Humphrey) McClure, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, at the home of her grandson in Trenton, Ga., surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of The Church of God, The Gospel Assembly, Soddy-Daisy, Tenn. She was born Nov. 8, 1934, in Gadsden, Ala., the daughter of the late Grady and Mamie Holliday Humphrey. Also preceded in death by husband, Murray Lee McClure Sr.; daughter, Twanna Wallace; brothers, J. D., Robert, Julius, Wallace, Carvin and William Humphrey; sisters, Ruth Norton, Ruby Jo Kelly and Doris Black. Survivors: son, Murray Lee McClure Jr. and wife, Rena, of Knoxville; grandchildren, Larry Wallace Jr. and wife, Ashley; Priscilla Sloan and husband, Tyler; great-grandchildren, Sam, Bree and Eli Wallace; sisters, Verna Blackburn, Jimmie Dean McClure, Hazel Bohannon, Peggy Peppers; brother, Jerry Humphrey; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 12 noon Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, with funeral service at 12 noon Monday, The Church of God, The Gospel Assembly, 110 Mountain Road, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee 37379, Rev. Ron Oliver, Rev. Steve Pratt officiating with music by The McClure Family. Interment 2:30 p.m. Monday, Chattanooga National Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tenn. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville, Tenn.
