Wilma Courtney

Wilma Faye Courtney, 78, of Hixson, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Wilma was born in DeKalb County, Ala. She is of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by husband, William Courtney; son, Barry Courtney; mother, Lois Vaughan; father, Boston Vaughan; two sisters, Myrtle Martin and Flossie Brogdon. Survived by three sons, and wives: Mark (Cynthia) Courtney, of Lookout Mountain, Chris (Kendra) Courtney, of Hixson and Greg (Christina) Courtney, of Hixson; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Glenna J. Courtney, of FL; brotherb Kermit Vaughan, of Wildwood Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Jim Hixon. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
