Roland Avery

TRENTON — Roland Avery, Jr., 66, died early Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in a local hospital. He was of the Christian faith, a 1970 graduate of Dade County High School and was the owner/operator of Roland Avery General Contractor. Roland was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Roland Avery, Sr., and Robbie Louise Bishop Avery. Survivors include his wife, Becky Avery, Trenton Ga.; daughter, Amy (Jason) Thompson, LaFayette, Ga.; son, Shane (Stacy) Avery, Trenton, Ga.; sister, Joan (Tom) Tucker, Rising Fawn, Ga.; grandchildren Devin Avery, A.J. Thompson, and Ashlynn Avery. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 20, at 5 p.m. in the old sanctuary of Trenton United Methodist Church with Rev. Reese Fauscett officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 p.m. until the service hour at Trenton United Methodist Church old sanctuary. Arrangements are by Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
