Kenneth Harrison Bales, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was of the Baptist faith. He was an Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and retired from Mayfield Dairy after more than 20 years of service. He was a true animal lover, enjoyed gardening and just spending time outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Marion Bales; wife, Mary Elizabeth White Bales; brother, Ricky Bales and sister, Martha Underhill. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Tina White; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Ricky Buckner; three sisters, Marilyn James, Kathy Dapp and Pricilla Pope; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his dog, Baby and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, April 26, 2019, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Bro. Jackie Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
