Rose McGill

Rose Nellie McGill, 95, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Joe Mack and Frances Russell Burnette. She was a member of Hamilton Baptist Church. She loved gospel music and pink teddy bears. She was a sweet little angel that loved everyone. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Elmer Cagle; and her sister, Mary Frances Lillard. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, John Boyd McGill Sr.; children, Charlotte (Harold) Stills, Linda (Kenneth) Hammill; several stepchildren; sister, Mildred McCusiton; she was also blessed with a lot of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Virgil Smith officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
