Alex Mason

Christopher Alexander “Alex” Mason, 31, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. His passion was cutting hay. He felt like he could talk to God in the fields better than in a house of worship. Alex graduated from Soddy-Daisy High School in the class of 2007. After school he decided he wanted to work on a ranch and moved to Texas. He came back home in 2011 and started working at B and B Crane. Alex was a workaholic that could never be still. If he wasn’t on the job he was working in the fields. He loved horses and riding in rodeos. Alex’s nickname was “Cowboy”. He was preceded in death by his meemaw, Frances Yother; great grandparents, Nana and Gramps Brown. Survivors are his mother, Angela Swafford Mason; father, Chris Mason (Terri); sister, Dana Mason; grandparents, Austin and Pat Swafford; special brother of the heart, Hunter Daniel; many cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends and his dog, Annie and horse, Jasper. There will be a gathering to celebrate Alex’s life on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
