Ramona Bowman

Ramona June Bowman, 87 of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 21, 2019. Ramona was born in Illinois, but spent most of her life in the Chattanooga area. She was a former member of the Tiftonia Baptist Church and a current member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church. Ramona was also an active member in the Lookout Valley Lions Club for many years. She loved to travel, especially to the beach, go camping, read, and most of all, she loved taking care of her family. Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bowman and parents, Fred and Ruby Harris. Survivors include her children: Gregg (Sheri) Bowman, Vivian (Rick) Lowery, Melanie (Steve) Everett, and Phillip (Janice) Bowman; sisters, Wilda Stokes and Freddie Fryar; brother, Larry Harris; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces of nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 24th at 12pm in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Troy Walliser officiating. Interment will follow in the Boydston Community Cemetery.
