ROSSVILLE — George B. Duda, Jr., 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 29, 2019. He attended Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church “Young at Hearts” program. He was a graduate of Central High School and was employed for over 41 years at South Central Bell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Kayler Duda; grandchildren Lisa Morgan and Miranda Griffin. George is survived by his daughters, Carol (Robert) Higginbotham and Melody Barnes; five grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren; special thanks to Jeremy Barnes for looking after his grandfather’s affairs and to Amedisys Hospice for their care and attention to Mr. Duda’s comfort and health. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. till 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens-South with grandson Jeremy Barnes officiating.
