Arlie Holcomb

It is with great sadness that the family of Arlie Alfred Holcomb announced his passing on December 1, 2019 at his Cleveland, TN home. He was 77 years old. Al was born December 25, 1941 in Chickamauga Ga. Al's early childhood was spent at the Methodist Children's home in Decatur Georgia subsequently moving with his family to Chicago. He spent several decades there before returning to the south. Al enjoyed music, horses, football, motor sports and a good donut. Al's jobs included riding instructor, baker at Dunkin Donuts, apartment maintenance, plant and auto mechanic. He was a member of the Collegedale Seventh Day Adventist Church. Al was preceded in death by his mother Leola Almeda Holcomb; father James Theodore Holcomb; sister Emma Jewel Oswalt; brother James Edward Holcomb. Survivors include his wife of 24 years Tanya W Holcomb; Sister Francis Imajean Ramsey; Four step-children and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will held at 3:00 pm on Sunday December 8, 2019 in the chapel at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Cross officiating.
