Dorothy Babian

Dorothy LaVonne Babian, 99, formerly of Athens, died after enjoying a full and active life. She outlived all of her friends and most of her family. She was a phenomenal mother, grandmother, seamstress, and quilter, as well as a jigsaw and word search puzzle solver extraordinaire. The world is a better place for having known her strength, perseverance, kindness, and love. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles. She leaves behind her two daughters, Debbie and Mary; her granddaughter, Sandra; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will held be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to: Senior Saints Home, 3219 Ardian Trail, East Ridge, TN 37412.
