G.L. Chambers

RINGGOLD — Grady Luke "G.L." Chambers, passed away at his home on Jan. 18, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. His commitment to the Lord was his greatest motivation in life. He was a graduate of Ringgold High School, Edmondson School of Business and a First Attendee to Boys State. G.L. was a 33-year retiree of DuPont, and served 20 years on the Catoosa County Tax Board. He was a Deacon and Sunday school teacher at Boynton Baptist, Briarwood Baptist and Ringgold First Baptist. Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Nancy; daughter, Deborah (Jerry) Payne; sons, Randall and Richard Chambers, Reece (Amy) Chambers; grandchildren, Shannon (Kevin) McElhaney and Dewayne Payne; great-grandchildren, Tori, Katherine Grace, and Charlsie McElhaney; brother, C.B. Chambers. The family would like to thank Patty Ceccotti with Chattanooga Hospice and G.L.'s many loving caregivers. Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ringgold First Baptist Church with Rev Bruce Sloan officiating.
