Judy Ann Teer

Judy Ann Teer, 74 of East Ridge, Tenn., passed away on Jan. 20, 2019. She was of the Methodist faith. She spent most of her life as an advocate for children by being a foster parent. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son; three grandchildren; and her parents. Left behind to cherish Judy’s memory are her children, Gerald Teer, Burlington, Colo., Barbara Ann (Rodney) Hysinger, East Ridge, David (Anita) Teer, Dalton, Ga., and Evelyn (Greg) Schaffer, Flagler, Colo.; adopted daughter, Margaret Buckner, Jasper, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Crocker, Shirley (Bill) Luther, and Carolyn (Arthell) Gray. A Celebration of Judy’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Carl Sterling officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. She will be laid to rest in the Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
