Louise O'Bannon

Louise Grimes O’Bannon, 79, retired photo lab administrator at Pensacola Naval Air Station, transitioned on July 5, 2019, at her home in Pensacola. She was preceded in death by her parents, Malvin Grimes and Elizabeth M. McKissic; brothers, Anthony J. Grimes and Cleveland T. Grimes. She was a graduate of Howard High Class of 1958. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Troy State University. She was a devoted member and Treasurer of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pensacola, FL. She loved traveling and seeing the world and was blessed to travel and live in many locations. She was affectionately known by her four grandchildren, Richard and Je’tina Madison and Taylor-Alexis and Lyndon Dupont, simply “Mema”. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Tracey Madison; her daughters, Eugenia Shirlene Bone and Alecia Dupont (Lyndon); five brothers, George (Awanda) Grimes, Lincoln, Del., Melvin (Dorothy) Grimes, Albert (Diane) Grimes, Jesse (Belinda) Grimes, Jeffery Grimes; six sisters, Addie (James) Hill, Denise (Marvin) Smith; Renee Clack, Sara Grimes, sister-in-law Mary Grimes, aunt Maggie Grimes, Atlanta, Ga.; uncle, Cleveland (Della) Grimes, Atlanta; cousins who were like sisters Pearl Nesmith (Jerome), Shirley Mathis and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside service at 10 a.m. Saturday July 13, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5401 Highway 153 Hixson, TN.
