Sonja Stewart

Sonja Denise Stewart, 56, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at her residence. She was a graduate of Brainerd High School and a member of Olivet Baptist Church. She was formerly employed by Standifer Place. Sonja was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Helen Stewart. Survivors include five beautiful children, Jeremy Reynold, Kenya Billups, Serenity Sparks, Kurious Strickland, and Unique Strickland; two grandchildren; sister, Holly Sutton; brothers, Tarvin Jernard and Garry Rollins; uncle, Lloyd Darby; aunt, Parmella Landers, a host of cousins; best friend, Janice Wellington and other friends. She will lie-in-state today at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service is today at 1 p.m. at Olivet Baptist Church with Bishop Kevin Adams, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga Inc.
