William (Bill) Babb, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2019, at Hospice of Chattanooga. Bill was a long time member of White Oak Baptist Church. He graduated from Red Bank High School, class of 1950 and then proudly entered the United States Army and serviced as a staff Sargent in the Korean War. Bill loved to tell stories of rabbit hunting, finding Native American Indian artifacts and anything Military. He easily made friends whereever he went. During his retirement he spent many years as a volunteer with the National Medal of Honors Museum of Military History. He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Babb and Ressie B. Jackson Babb. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full Military Honors to be conducted and Reverend Terry Shannon officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Hamilton Funeral Home. Many thanks to Erlanger NNICU staff and Hospice of Chattanooga staff for their care.
