Stanley Disorda

Stanley Earl "Stan" Disorda, 74, of Chattanooga, passed Friday, March 8, 2019. Born in Burlington, Vermont, he has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 30 years and was the son of Mildred and Perley Disorda of Brandon Vermont. He was a 25-year retired veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam, Desert Storm, Bosnia and Iraq. After retirement he worked for military contractors in Iraq and Kuwait from 2003 -2010. He was a member of the East Lake Masonic Lodge #698 F&AM; American Legion Post 95; VFW Post 4848 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aries #945. He is survived by his son, Matthew Disorda; daughter, Jackie Disorda; step-sons, David and Peter Jensen, all of Vermont; loving companion, Betty “Buffie” Buffington, Chattanooga, TN. The family, being from Vermont, request in lieu of flowers, WalMart cards for the care of his daughter, Jackie. A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Valley View Chapel with Dr. Hisel Gobble officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday before the service at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
