William Hensley

William Douglas Hensley, 57, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Memorial Hospital, Fort Oglethorpe. Doug was the son of Annie Sue Stanfield and Ellis Kenneth Hensley of Adairsville, Ga. He is survived by his children, Tabitha Hensley Cox (Jonas), of Hixson, Tenn., Amanda Hensley Underwood (Andrew), of Rock Springs, Ga., and Jacob Douglas Hensley (Marlie), of Ringgold, Ga.; Grandchildren, Persephone, Rosemary, Aaralyn and Micah Cox, Isaac and Josephine Underwood, and Emma Jade and Brandon Hensley; a sister, Karissa Hensley Kornegay (Dean), of Jonestown, TX. A memorial service was held on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Community Baptist Church of East Ridge, TN. Pastor Alan Robinson officiated. Doug was a wonderful man who was in declining health for a number of years. He was an artist, loved for his jovial personality, and creative in so many ways. He loved race cars, motorcycles, and model cars and trucks. He was a Christian and member of Oakwood Baptist Church, Chickamauga, Ga. Doug was a graduate of East Ridge High School. Doug will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
