Mildred Guerry Pollock, 93, of Lookout Mountain, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 11, 2019. She was born in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii to parents who had emigrated to Hawaii from Portugal. She also loved a good laugh and would look to the bright side of life at every opportunity. She was a very accomplished tennis player representing the South in the U.S. Open Mother-Daughter Championship Tournament. Racquetball was also her sport and she won the Women’s National Senior Racquetball Championship as a last minute write in to fill the draw. Millie entered into life with a positive attitude and a never give up style. She was loved by many and was widowed twice during her lifetime. She was married to Alex Guerry Jr. and John T. Pollock. Millie is survived by her daughter, Cindy Kemp Battle; and grandchildren Miranda Kemp Light, and James Randolph Light.
