Betty Jo Cook

DAYTON — Betty Jo Morrow Cook faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and follower of Jesus Christ, passed into eternal life, Monday, November 11, 2019 at her home in Dayton, TN. Betty was a member of New Union Baptist Church. She retired after working over 20 years at La-Z-Boy Chair Co. in Dayton. She was known to have a servant’s heart, she loved spending time with her family and serving her church family. She is preceded in death by her first husband, John C. Morrow. She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin Eugene Cook; children, Scott Morrow of Dayton, Teresa (Rick) Smith of Dayton, TN, Lisa (Roger) Dotson of Soddy Daisy, TN; step children, Tony (Cindy) Cook, Kim (Troy) Dotson both of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Chris (Cindy) Horton, Blake Dotson (Ashlee), Bradley Dotson (Heather), Shannon (Chris) Randolph, Casey Smith; great grandchildren, Hannah, Christian, Sarah & Bekah Horton; Will, Cassie, Ellie & Jack Randolph. Her most recent joy was 5 month old great grandson River Trace Dotson. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home. Service will be Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 12:00 noon at New Union Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Ruehling and Rev. Jeremy Deal officiating. She will lie in state from 11:00-12:00.
