Laurie Cain

APISON — Laurie Jean Welter Cain, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, November 13, 2019 in a local hospital. A longtime resident of Ooltewah and Apison, Mrs. Cain and held membership with the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Gloria Welter and sisters, Julie Jerrell & Marcia Welter. She is survived by her husband, James A. Cain Jr.; three sons, Jeremy (Stacie) Cain, Apison; Jason (Chelsey) Cain, and Justin Cain both of Chattanooga; brother, Gene Welter, Apison; four grandchildren, Haley, Bryson, Kylie, & Brynlie; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Sunday at 3 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chuck Patrick and Jeremy Cain officiating. Burial will be held Monday at 10:30 am at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
