Alvin Pendergrass
Alvin Leon Pendergrass, 83, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 15, 2019.
He was born to the
late Andy and Clydia Wells Pendergrass in Sherwood, Tenn., lived in Chattanooga for the past 50 years and was a member of Lighthouse
of the Word.
Alvin retired in 2014 after more than 20 years at Pulmonaire, enjoyed working puzzles and hunting and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, who will be greatly missed.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia
Brown; two sisters and five brothers.
Alvin is survived by his loving wife, of 60 years, Peggy Pendergrass; son, Rick (Karen) Pendergrass; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Robert Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service
will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, in the
funeral home chapel, with Pastor Mike Lowery officiating.
Interment will follow in Mtn. View Cemetery, Sherwood, TN. The
family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday.
