Asa Griffith

Asa “Haskell” Griffith, age 79, passed away at his home Friday, October 11, 2019. A Chattanooga native, he was married to Dorene Griffith for 38 years. Haskell retired from Memorial Hospital where he worked as a respiratory therapist after serving in the Army. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Lorene Griffith and his father, Asa Haskell Griffith, as well as his sister, Carolyn Chattin. Haskell had one sister, Gloria Edgeman; four children and numerous grandchildren: Jackie Conway married to Robert and has sons Robby and Asa; Kelly Smith married to Adam and has daughters Allie, Maddie, and Ella; Sheryl Chesky; and Audri Wood married to Randy and has children Calvin, David, Emma, and Abby. Haskell was an active fisherman whose hobbies included jewelry making and clocks. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home in Cleveland.
