Bertha Lowe

Bertha Ann Scealf Lowe (Bert) born Oct. 15, 1940, went home to be with the lord on Oct. 18, 2019. She attended Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was married June 4, 1959. She was a home maker, military wife during the Cuban missile crisis, and a pastors wife. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter who will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Robert Lowe; parents, Grady and Pauline Scealf; siblings, Ruby Nichols, Agnes MCCarroll and Thomas Scealf. She is survived by two sons, Roy Lowe, of Midland Ga., Rob Lowe of Hixson, Tenn.; and one daughter, Angela Lowe Colston, of Harrison, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. James Langston officiating. Committal service to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are held by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
