James Wooten

LaFAYETTE — James Thomas “Arkansas” Wooten, 73, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Wooten; brothers, Howard Wooten, John B. Wooten and Oliver Wooten. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Hilda Ann Wooten; sons, Ronnie Haggard of Sexton, Ala., and Josh Young of Stevenson, Ala.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randall Massengill officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service after 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
