Mary Teague

ROSSVILLE - Mary Ruth Teague, 74 passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at her daughter’s home with her family by her side after a six week journey through cancer. Ms. Teague was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area where she was a 1964 graduate of Rossville High School. She was a faithful member of Mission Ridge Baptist Church for over sixty five years volunteering her time with the Children’s Ministry throughout the years. Ms. Teague displayed a servant’s heart through a lifetime of giving to others. She was a beloved grammy and mother who modeled love, affection, and care to all who knew her. Her passions in life were her family, crafts, working in her flower garden, and assisting with the children’s department at church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Martha Teague; and four brothers, Charles Teague, Jakey Teague, Ernest Teague, and Richard Teague.

Survivors include her two daughters, Denise (Brian) Self of Ringgold and Elaine (Rob) Tinholt of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Logan Self, Lauren Self, Luke Tinholt, John David Tinholt, and Kate Tinholt; one brother, Jerry (Earlene) Teague of Flintstone; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children’s Ministry at Mission Ridge Baptist Church at 337 Mission Ridge Rd. Rossville, GA 30741.

Due to the current pandemic the family will be having private services.

Interment will be in the TN-GA Memorial Park.
