Roy Hitchcock

Roy Hitchcock age 65 of Sale Creek passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Memorial Hospital. He was born in Chattanooga the son of the late Roy and Mildred (Irvin) Hitchcock and was also preceded in death by his wife Cynthia (Flatt) Hitchcock.

Roy was a painter with Astec Industries for 40 years. He was an avid bass fisherman, fishing numerous local tournaments and was currently the president of the Astec Bass Club.

He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Hitchcock of Sale Creek, his brother, Kenneth (Gail) Hitchcock of Sale Creek, four sisters, Jody (Jimmy) Harden of Soddy, Peggy Sue Hitchcock, Katherine Baker and Edna “Teeny” Hitchcock all of Chattanooga. Roy is also survived by his long time companion Billie Dupre of Cleveland.

Graveside Funeral Service for Roy will be held Sunday afternoon, December 6, 2020 at 1:00pm at Welch Rogers Cemetery in Sale Creek with Rev. Archie Poole officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends Saturday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
