Elaine Johnson

FYFFE — Ms. Elaine Johnson, age 73 of Fyffe, AL passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020. Elaine walked closely with Jesus, and her witness built a foundation of faith for her children and grandchildren. She greeted everyone with a warm hug, a kind, listening ear and a WAR EAGLE. Wherever Elaine was, laughter and smiles found a home.

Elaine graduated from Auburn University in 1970. She helped countless people as a psychologist for over 25 years. She was a faithful volunteer in her church and loved to sing in the choir.

She is survived by her children, Parker Hurt (Shannon) and Emile Hurt Sloan (Stephen); her grandchildren, Chandler Hurt, Drew, Cooper, & Molly Sloan; Brother David Johnson (Shelia); beloved niece and nephews; and countless friends that were like family. She is preceded in death by her parents O.M. and Helen Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 2PM at Rainsville Funeral Home with Dr. Roy W. Hall & Pastor Michael Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home, Inc. directing, www.rainsvillefuneralhome.com.

Visitation will be at Rainsville Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 25th from 5PM-8PM & Wednesday, February 26th from 12PM-2PM.
