Earl Dover

ROSSVILLE — Earl Joseph “Joe” Dover age 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 23, 2020. He was born in Walker County to the late Hubert and Frances Holman Dover. He was a former resident of Greenville, South Carolina and has been a resident of the Rossville area for the past 50 years. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Rossville. Joe was the owner of Dover Cylinder Head in Chattanooga, Tennessee for over 60 years. Along with his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife: Renva B. Callaham Dover, sisters: Joyce Saylors and Mary Rose Robinson. Joe is survived by their children: Mack (LaSonya) Dover, Randy (Renee) Dover, Dale (Tiffany Miller) McDowell, Shane (Sara) McDowell, siblings: Tom Dover, Ross Dover, Martha Anderson, Pat Wilson, Anita Mills, former wife: Kay Dover Hester, grandchildren: Houston and Courtney Dover, Tucker and Bailey Miller. The family would like to thank Phyllis G. Wright for her exceptional care she took of Joe. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday - February 28, 2020. Memorial services will follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Barry Williams and Leroy Wilson officiating.
