Frances Beaty

Frances (Billings) Beaty, a long-time resident of the Hixson area, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday the 25th of February at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 83.

Frances was born February 20, 1937 in Overton County, TN. After graduating high school, she married Clifton Beaty on June 30, 1956. She was not just an ordinary housewife. While staying home to raise her two sons, Frances also successfully ran a boarding kennel from their home. She also spent many hours working on their family farm. She loved to quilt, work puzzles, and spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a founding member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Clifton Beaty, her two sons, Dennis (Deb) and Phillip (Wanda). Frances will also be fondly remembered by her 4 grandchildren, Derek (Mary) Beaty, Deanna (Grady) Wilson, Marie (Matt) Lane, and Marshall Beaty, and her 5 great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Harrison Beaty, Parker and Pierce Wilson, and Chloe Lane. Her sister Wilma Baldauff of Huntsville, AL and her special caretakers Aundrea Huckabee and Alli Strider. She was preceded in death by her parents, Halton and Ida Billings.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. and Friday, February 28, 2020 from 11 am-12 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, 5401 TN-153, Hixson, and the funeral service in memory of Frances will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Rev. Ken Young officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make memorial donations in memory of Frances to Hospice of Chattanooga-Mountain View Team. Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
