RINGGOLD — Carol Foster Shoemaker, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at her home. She taught at Boynton Elementary from 1970-1974 and again from 1984-89. recent years she served as a Trustee.
Carol’s hobby was writing and she enjoyed writing plays for church and schools, poetry that she shared with her family and friends, and used her skill to develop a handbook when she served as
leader of guest assistants. Carol self-published a book for children that was illustrated by her
friend, Sandra Babb. Her family and friends often received one of Carol’s Cards designed for a special occasion.
In retirement, Carol was active in Catoosa Retired Educators Association where she served as president and on various committees. She enjoyed being a part of the Tea Room Girls and spending time with her friends. There was nothing she cherished more than time spent with all her family and celebrating holidays and birthdays with them. Her children and grandchildren were at the center of her life and love.
